Cruel people break puppy’s jaw and leave him to starve for weeks on the street!

This puppy was discovered wandering the streets of Cairo, Egypt in the worst possible condition. His cruel owners had pounded him repeatedly, up to the point in which the puppy’s jaw had been broken in multiple places, leaving the puppy unable to drink water or eat properly. Instead of taking him to the vet (even after what they did, it was still not too late to fix the problem), the dog was dumped on the streets to fend for himself. The helpless animal was nothing but a walking skeleton when he was discovered.

The pictures above tell a truly sad story and his terrible injuries are proof of the inhumane treatment he had to go through in the hands of a group of lawless monsters. Most likely, owners did not want him anymore and this is the way some people in Egypt understand to dispose of their dogs.

Unfortunately, the concept of animal welfare is completely primitive in Egypt. First of all, the country does not have any laws that protect animals, which means that abusers get to walk free every time. Egypt has a huge problem with stray animals, yet no spay and neuter schemes have been implemented (numerous poisoning campaigns have gone underway, instead); no modern public shelters have been built either in the past decades. The animals rely just only a few animal welfare groups, who are doing such a wonderful job, but saving all dogs is literally impossible.

Egypt needs a total different approach on animal welfare. Please support tougher animal protection laws and a humane resolution to all the strays in the country. Massive euthanasia campaigns are just unacceptable, they cannot constitute a viable solution to this problem.
