Justice For Stuart – 3-month-old puppy used as bait for fights!

Atlanta, Georgia: Rescuers announced the Fulton County Animal Services that they were going to bring a severely neglected dog to the shelter. Staff at the facility were informed that a young dog that was missing part of his face had been picked up.

Stuart arrived at the shelter wagging his tail and being kind to humans, in spite of his suffering. Staff could only imagine agony this gentle soul was going through. Stuart was suffering from open wounds over the left side of his face, his left eye also; his left ear was also gone.

After a quick examination, vets determined that the 16-pound puppy had been bitten on the face repeatedly; the wounds were then left untreated for days, which cause the severe infection. Due to the gravity of the injuries, shelter staff immediately called Rescue Dogs Rock NYC to ask for help.

Stuart is now at the Fayeteville Animal Hospital, where vets claim he is very sweet and now stable.

He has nerve deficits and no visible ear canal, the wound is quite old, at least 7 to 10 days. We’ll be able to assess his situation better after we sedate him

I cannot even begin to imagine that the people who did this to little Stuart are still out there. These poor excuse for human beings need to be apprehended and dealt with by the Georgia court of law. No one deserves this treatment, especially a dog that wouldn’t hurt a fly!

We need as many signatures as we can to ensure Stuart’s former owners will face justice!
