Dismiss mayor that allows thousands of dogs to starve and freeze at public shelter!

Meet Gheorghe Pistol, the mayor of Buftea, a small town situated near Bucharest, Romania. This mayor likes to see thousands of dogs starve and freeze at the municipality’s public shelter.

Apparently he refuses to let those dogs get any sort of help, although numerous kind people have donated (including dog houses, to keep them warm during the winter). This man is a disgrace to the entire community and to the entire country.

Please look at how the dogs are forced to live. They receive little food and water and are forced to sit out of the open 24/7, in freezing temperatures. The water in their bowls has frozen and witnesses recall that shelter staff has been ordered to take the dogs in the backyard and spray them with cold water from a hose. No creature deserves this treatment, no matter what the circumstances are. How can anyone be so heartless and allow this abuse? Even when kind people help, he decided to stand in the way and still refuses to improve the welfare of these poor animals.

This cruel mayor has over 30 penal complaints in courts up to this point, yet Mr. Pistol has been elected for another term as mayor of Buftea.
