This petition is crucial for all the people that served in Afghanistan and have helped the British army accomplish their objectives. I urge viewers to step up and take immediate action.
The objective of this petition is to grant political asylum to ALL Afghan interpreters that have supported British troops in the ongoing conflict in Afghanistan. There have been hundreds of people that have chosen to voluntarily join the British army and had everything to lose by doing so. They put their lives at risk and they have yet to be repaid for this.
Without their help, the mission of the British soldiers would have been much difficult. Many lives were saved by the courage and devotion of these interpreters.
We owe a great deal to them and their superb efforts must be repaid by all means. The moral duty does not rest in one British soldier expressing his gratitude over a beer in Kabul; the entire British nation must step up and show it appreciates their outstanding work. The British values are at stake and the United Kingdom must stand up for them. By tradition, Britain has always stood by its allies.
The forces that have now been defeated in Afghanistan are already mounting a new army. In a few years, they will be stronger than ever and if these translators are not protected, they will face an imminent threat. They risked their life helping British soldiers all over the country. Now, it is time for Great Britain to help them an offer them a chance to a peaceful and decent life outside the conflict zones.
As a famous quote by Edmund Burke says, ‘the only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing’.
The great nation of the United Kingdom must respond positively and must grant asylum to all translators that helped British soldiers during times of distress and crisis.
Please take a moment to show your support
for these great people. They are worthy of all our respect and we must ensure
the British government repays them in the manner they fully deserve.
