The photos above show the moment an innocent cat was dragged for miles behind a moped-type vehicle on the streets of China – as the driver smiled and laughed and refused to pull over.

Numerous pedestrians and other drivers urged the callous man to stop; however, the moped rider blatantly ignored all the calls and kept on going as if nothing was wrong – he continued to pull the white feline behind the vehicle for miles.

Exclusive: Punish thugs that cut dog’s ears off and posed for photos!

The incident took place in Fuzhou, the capital city of Fujian Province in East China.

Witnesses recall that the man was driving at quite a fast pace, while the cat was tied with a thick red rope to the vehicle. It is unclear if the cat managed to survive the painful ride.

The photos related to this outrageous incident have been shared relentlessly on social media platforms in China, with many calling for the man to be brought to justice. However, due to the lack of proper animal welfare laws in China, police are unable to detain and punish the heartless man for this specific act. There have been similar cases – and police ended up charging the culprits with disorderly conduct rather than mistreating animals (a penalty which basically carries a slap on the wrist).

This is yet another perfect illustration of why China is in desperate need to adopt animal protection laws. In every important country in the West and in North America as well, a police investigation would have been launched and the culprits would have ended up being charged. On the other hand, in China nothing will be accomplished in this case and justice will never be achieved – in spite of all the online protests.

Anyone is free to harm an animal knowing that he or she will get away with it, no matter how viral their case goes. This is simply unacceptable and things cannot continue this way!

China must urgently move forward and vote in a legislation to protect animals, because, as things stand now, there is no one to protect our voiceless companions.

We sincerely hope that the Chinese government will listen to our pleas and improve the lives of the animals in China by adopting these much-needed reforms. Animal welfare should also be a priority for the Chinese authorities.

Please support this campaign if you would no longer like to see such imagines coming out of China!
