Damien Hirst is an English artist, entrepreneur and art collector,
the most important member of the group of the Young British Artists (YBA) who
dominated the UK art scene during the 1990s.
Death is main topic in the works of Hirst. He became internationally
famous after carrying out a series of artworks featuring lifeless animals
(including sharks, sheep and cows) that are kept in formaldehyde (sometimes
after being dissected).
The In and Out of Love exposé featured thousands of live
butterflies. During the 23-week exhibition, over 9, 000 of them perished and did
not survive.
Furthermore, specialists have published a report that Damien Hirst’s
exposition at the Tate Modern Gallery in London has been leaking cancer-causing
fumes. Tate Modern representatives have tried to downplay this report, claiming
that customer safety always comes first, but the damage had already been done.
Please take a moment to see the photos below. This is what Damien
Hirst considers art. His creations are nothing short of appalling and disgusting.
They constitute an open invitation for abusing animals and celebrate the death
of innocent creatures, which never a cause of happiness to begin with!
Sign the petition and let Damien Hirst know how much you dislike his
art and politely urge him to stop the abuse of animals in the name of art!
