Justice for dog beaten with hammer until his skull cracked open!

These shocking photos definitely make me reconsider faith in humanity. I am having a very difficult time understanding how humans are capable of doing this to a defenseless dog, a harmless creature that did no harm to anyone.

This poor animal – most likely a stray – was found severely wounded on the streets of Tolyatti in Russia. It had been snowing heavily over the past few days and it was blistering cold outside; this, however, did not stop the ruthless attacker from severely wounding the dog and leaving him to die on the steeets. Had it not been for several concerned citizens that spotted the distressed animal, he would not have been alive right now.

The pooch was hit in the head with a hammer until his skull was cracked open; as you can see in the photos, the attacker spared no mercy.

Anastasia Kuzina has been rescuing dogs in the area for years and, as soon as she heard what happened, she stepped in and offered her assistance.

The dog was taken to a veterinarian’s office, where everyone was appalled to see the state in which the patient had arrived. Vets immediately performed surgery and managed to sew the dog’s head.

Their unanomyous conclusion was that this was definitely an intentional act and ruled it out as an accident.

I am deeply troubled by this incident and I would very much like to see authorities launch an investigation and bring whoever is responsible for this sick and cowardly attack to justice. Whoever did this is free to strike again. There are many other animals that are potentially in danger, so the stakes are crucial!
