Cats are skinned alive, their fur is sold in Chinese Airports! Take Action Now!

Images like the ones above are the very reason a deep reform needs to take place in China when it comes to animal welfare. I  am hoping everyone joins this petition to urge the government in Beijing to take a stand against this inhumanity and vote in animal protection laws.

Many of the readers of this petition might have learned about the plight of the Chinese dozens. But countless cats are suffering just as much due to the lack of animal protection laws and the ruthlessness of the people. For instance, thousands of cats are skinned alive for their fur each year. Their precious fur is later shipped to manufacturing plants all across the country, where pricey fur products result, which are later sold to unsuspecting customers in Western Europe and North America. Customers are usually dooped due to false labeling and knowing the origin of the animal the fur is made of can only be determined with by conducting pricey DNA testing.

However, cat fur products are increasingly being sold in the internal market as well. For instance, K bold shop, situated in the Terminal T2 of Tianjin Airport, one of China’s most important hubs, nonchalantly has put up for sale jackets made out of cat fur. And you do not need any DNA testing to know these garments are indeed made out of cat fur. Please take a look at the photos below and see for yourself. 

If you think that these garments, are not popular, please think again. There are actually a lot of people supporting this inhumanity and purchase such types of products.

The suffering behind these garments can hardly be put into words. Cats are hit in the head with bats or sticks and have their fur peeled off of them like a banana, while being still conscious. When the skinning process is done, they are tossed in the dumpster and left to die in terrible suffering.

This is unacceptable and should not be taking place anywhere in this world!

Immediate action needs to be taken. Show your support and urge the Chinese officials to implement animal welfare laws (China has none up to this point) and end the suffering of thousands of innocent cats and kittens. Thank you.
