PETA: ‘Animals are not ours to eat, wear, experiment on, use for entertainment or abuse in any other way’
MAC is one of the most popular makeup brands in the world. They also have a good reputation when it comes to the quality of their products, which makes them a constant attraction from everyone from amateur make up enthustiasts to professional make up artists.
However, this quality seems to be achieved with great suffering to animals, as MAC cosmetics appears on PETA’s list of companies that continue to perform inhumane animal tests.
This fact is not widely known, which has allowed the company to fly under the radar – for far too long, if you ask me.
MAC cosmetics – part of the Estée Lauder group – uses animals as a method to observe any secondery effects the products may have after human use.
I am extremely disappointed to learn that MAC, which is one of my favourite cosmetic companies, is profiting off the suffering of innocent animals. This issue is extremely sensitive, given the fact that there are plenty of alternatives to using animals as method of product testing. These alternatives do not cause any harm to any living creature and provide the same efficiency when it comes to the end result: ensuring impeccable quality product.
For a more detailed presentation on the alternative methods that can be used, please see this PETA link:

A series of celebrities have endorsed the company down the road, including singers such as Lady Gaga, Lorde, Kelly Osborne and Rihanna. I am curious whether these people actually knew what they were sponsoring or MAC cosmetic failed to mention this fact to them.
MAC cosmetic needs to set an example for the cosmetic industry and needs to stop inhumane animal testing as soon as possible. This company is one of the most funded in the industry, thus investing in R&D should not constitute any problem whatsoever.
Stopping MAC cosmetics from performing such types of tests would have a huge impact upon the entire industry and I am convinced that numerous other companies will follow suit. This is why this campaign is so important.
Please take action – sign and share the petition – and help ensure
that MAC cosmetics will never peform tests on animals again! Help end the
suffering of animals in MAC laboratories right now!
