China: Cruel woman hangs pet dog to a tree and leaves it to die! Take Action Now!

Another shocking incident regarding animal abuse has occurred in China, this time in the Hanjiang District in Yangzhou City, Jiangsu province.

A heartless woman decided she did not want one of her pet dogs anymore. So she attacked the helpless animal with a knife, before leaving the dog to hang from a tree until the female German Shepherd passed away.

Some of the residents tried to argue with the woman, but there could not be any sort of reasoning with the heartless woman. Volunteers were dispatched at the scene, but by the time they arrived, the dog was no longer alive.

When volunteers tried to confront the woman, the owner pulled out a knife and threaten to attack her. All volunteers could do is remove the dog’s lifeless body from the premises. However, witnesses informed volunteers that the woman owned another dog at her place. After a few tense hours, the six members of the animal rescue group managed to pull the other dog out of the house and bring it to safety. The owner later explained that the dog was only causing problems and she simply did not want the pet anymore, but claims she did not know what to do with her.

Unfortunately, because China has no animal protection laws whatsoever, the heartless woman responsible for this cruelty will never be brought to justice. Police will not charge her with anything, simply because there is no legal basis to do so.  In other words, she will escape completely unpunished and this probably has to be the most outrageous part of it all.

This case illustrates yet again the need for China to adopt animal welfare laws. It is time for the government to start taking animal abuse seriously and stop ignoring our calls for justice. Too many innocent animals are abused on a daily basis in China and no one is ever held accountable.
