The heartless person believed to have dragged an innocent dog behind
his vehicle for over 5 miles has been apprehended amid several days of heavy
searching. It all happened in the town of Evansville, Indiana. The victim, a
Great Dane mix known as Hank, did not survive the terrible ordeal; this dog was a cherished family pet
and will definitely be missed. He did not deserve any of this and I am hereby
asking every compassionate person to take a stand against this abuse and ensure
true justice will be served.
Police have booked two suspects in connection with this disturbing
incident. The actual driver is Brandyn Cox, pictured on the left. There is also
another person involved, 44-year-old Jamie McFarland who police say tied the
pooch to the back of Cox’s car moments before Cox took off; it was eventually Cox who dragged the
helpless animal to his ultimate demise.
Police reports gathered from witnesses state that Cox and McFarland
got into a serious argument that day. The two went at each other and even threw a couple of punches to try and resolve their differences. It seems that McFarland tied the dog to Cox’s car to get back
at him.
Shortly after being booked by local law enforcement, Cox denied any
involvement in this case and claimed he had never made contact with Hank that
day. He also said that he had no idea that a dog was attached to his car while
he was in motion.
However, a woman came forward and claims she warned Cox about the dog
but said she was threatened by Cox for doing just that. The quick-minded witness was
able to snap a photo of the car’s license plate and sent it to the authorities.
Hank left a visible trail of blood on the streets, as a result of
the dragging. The pooch’s entire left side of his body was severely burnt amid
road friction.
It should be clear for everyone that Brandyn Cox does not care about
animals at all. Even if he hadn’t noticed the dog was being dragged behind his
vehicle, he could have stopped when he was warned by a witness. Instead, he
chose to threaten the person that was only trying to help. Hank’s life could
have been saved had Cox displayed at least one ounce of humanity.
Please show your support to ensure Brandyn Cox and James McFarland are
prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law and receive mandatory jail time.
Thank you for your interest in Hank’s sad case.
