A video showing a man tossing his pit bull dog in a ditch has gone viral on social media. Please support this petition and my quest for justice: we, the undersigned, demand that the owner is prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law and receives a lifetime ban on owning pets.

The shocking incident unfolded in California and was captured on CCTV camera belonging to Reuben Roque, a resident of the City Terrace neighborhood, east of Downtown Los Angeles. The man, a former military combat, spared no time in posting the video on social media, where it was viewed over million times.

The video clearly shows a pit bull mix dog happily jumping into an Audi sedan type vehicle. But moments after, the driver – believed to be the dog’s owner – gets out of the car, quickly grabs the female pit bull and tosses her in a nearby ditch with full force, before getting into the car and driving away, as if nothing had happened.

Luckily, a bush stopped the dog’s freewall. The pooch was luckily to escape with only a few stratches, but it certainly could have been much worse than this.

At this point, authorities have not established the identity and whereabouts of the culprit.

Reuben kept the pit bull mix for a few days and grew quite attached to her. But since Animal Control has opened an investigation, the dog is now regarded as ‘evidence’ and has been removed from Reuben’s until the investigation is complete. Reuben intends to keep the dog, dubbed Girl, afterwards.

Please show your support to ensure the cruel man caught on camera is fully held accountable for his despicable actions. There is absolutely no excuse for what he did. It is only a miracle that the dog survived the impact. Had he not wanted the dog anymore, he could have humanely surrendered her to the LA County Animal Services or ask friends if they wanted to take the dog in. This extreme gesture was completely out of line and totally uncalled for.
