Help stop the cruelty in the US dairy industry!

I am calling for every one reading this campaign to support this petition immediately. Please take action  now to improve the welfare of the animals in the dairy industry across United States.

There have been numerous investigations carried out by animal welfare groups such as PETA or Mercy For Animals with regards to the inhumane conditions in dairy farms in North America. To be more specific, defenseless animals (including calves) are routinely hit with hammers, kicked and stomped on by heartless workers. Employees show no mercy in harming the animals and their behavior suggests they have been doing this for such a long time. The video of this petition shows how a group of cows is hit over and over by cruel workers.  Treated as mere milk-producing machines, cows exploited for milk and cheese endure lives of near constant misery and deprivation.

Conditions are simply outrageous. These animals are caged 24/7 in windowless crates; they receive just enough foo and water to survive until the next day. Their habitat is never cleaned and these animals rarely get the chane to see the sunlight in their short, yet miserable lives. Animals with open wounds are repeatedly denied medical attention. This is the sad reality behind the dairy industry in the United States.

We, the undersigned, are calling on the US authorities to immediately implement meaningful animal welfare guidelines and oversight for all of the farms in the country. The US Department of Agriculture does not only have the power to implement a thorough reform, but it also has the moral duty to do so. Too many animals have suffered senselessly and together we must we can make a difference for all the innocent victims of the dairy industry!
