A shocking video depicting the inhumane treatment of Australian cattle and the terrible effect of the country’s live export industry has been made available online.

The video was secretly obtained by animal rights group Animals Australia and has cast yet another dark shadow upon Australia’s live export trade.

Exclusive: Punish thugs that cut dog’s ears off and posed for photos!

The video was filmed in Vietnam and show abattoir workers pounding cattle in the head with sledgehammers on and on. Shortly after falling to the ground, the cattle is his yet another few times before giving its ultimate breath.

Australian authorities have also obtained the footage and decided to suspend exports to three Vietnamese abattoirs.

Australia’s Agriculture Minister Barnaby Joyce has labeled the footage as ‘absolutely abhorrent’. It has also been discovered that one of the abattoirs that faces the most serious allegations does not have authorization from Australian authorities under the strict Exporter Supply Chain Assurance system rules, which is meant to assure the humane treatment of Australian cattle in abattoirs worldwide.

‘Although it has yet to be confirmed that the cattle was originally sourced from Australia, we have already taken steps to suspend exports to three identified Vietnamese abattoirs’ Australian officials have stated.

According to ABC, Australia’s Agriculture Minister has refused to consider a complete live export ban.

Animals Australia campaign director Lyn White was also shocked and extremely upset by the footage.

‘I thought I had seen it all, it seems I was wrong’ she stated.

In another outrageous video, a bull is being cut open with a large knife while still alive – this time at an approved abattoir.

‘The evidence we have gathered shows that Vietnam is a corrupt system that has exposed thousands of innocent animal to an unbelievably inhumane treatment’ Animals Australia campaign director concluded.

There are still 10 more abattoirs in Vietnam that have inked business deals with Australia to import live cattle.

The inhumane treatment of Australian cattle in Vietnam must come to an end. Please take action and urge the Australian authorities to ban live exports to all abattoirs in Vietnam and not just a part of it. The decision needs to be taken as soon as possible, because countless innocent animals are in danger as we speak.

Please watch the video and see for yourself what these poor creatures are forced to go though. No sentient being deserves this treatment!
