2.353 NEEDED
This completely defenseless soul was discovered in the bushes near 6th street and Caldwell, in Chester City, PA. Russ Harper, a humane officer with Justice League, was immediately called to the scene. Harper could not believe that a dog in this state of health was still alive.
The one-and-a-half year old pit bull was immediately taken to Keystone Veterinary Emergency Clinic in Havertown. The verdict was clear: this innocent soul, now dubbed Remi, was consistently used as bait for fights and was dumped when he was too sick to be of any use. His body was extremely weak, with bite marks all over him. He also was suffering from a severe infection from all the bite wounds that have been going untreated.
Remi is responding well to treatment and is doing much better given all he has been through.
He has shown since of improvement, it’s encouraging, but it’s still touch and go. He’s not out of the woods yet - Dr. Thomson explained.
The identity of the people behind this operation continues to remain unknown. It is almost certain that these people will not stop and will continue to look for other dogs to be used as bait. They need to be stopped at all costs!
Sign the petition and urge authorities to
launch a thorough investigation and track these monsters down as soon as
possible. Remi deserves justice!
