Recently in Liangshan village, Sichuan province, China a terrified
bear got lost and accidentally entered into a residential area. Local villagers
flipped at the sight of the unwanted visitor and decided to teach the animal a
lesson it would never forget. Residents spent no time in capturing the bear,
pounding him several times with sticks, before ultimately setting him on fire!
This animal did nothing to deserve any of this and justice must be done. The
Asian Bear is listed as a protected species and no one has the right to harm
them. We, the undersigned, hereto demand those villagers are held accountable
for what they did!
Outraged activists went Sichuan Forestry Bureau searching for
justice. They were stunned to be notified that the villagers captured and
terminated the bear because they were under attack, which is in flagrant
contradiction with the photos posted online as evidence, where the little bear
can be seen walking away from the villagers, probably scared stiff. The
evidence clearly points out that the bear had no intention of attacking anyone!
Another set of photos shows the bear being hit with large sticks
shortly after being captured. But local officials claim that the bear was no
longer alive when he was set on fire, which clearly is a false statement.
The People's Republic of China Wild Animal Protection Law has list
the Asian bear as a national second-class protected animals, which means that
one one has the right to even touch this animal.
Please show your support and help bring justice for this defenseless
animal, whose only fault was to have lost his way home. His family is probably
still waiting for him. The villagers had no right to do what they did and must
pay for their actions!
