Monsters that cooked dog while laughing get no punishment!

In a video available to view on LiveLeak, Youtube and Facebook, a group of men recorded themselves while tying up and cooking a dog. All of these subhumans had a nice smile on their faces and seemed to be having a great time as they were preparing to eat lunch.

The footage is over 5 minutes long. I started crying after watching just half of it, though. It all starts with the dog that has its legs and mouth tied up. The people double check, just to ensure their food will not be able to run. They proceeed to making a hole in a concrete wall and tying up the dog to a small, wooden pole, before placing the dog upside down – a procedure used for getting the blood out of the body quicker.

None of these monsters seems to be having any regrets about what they were doing (although they had plenty of time to change their minds). That beautiful dog, a German Shepherd if I’m not mistaken (probably someone’s stolen pet) will never make it out there alive.

According to the description, the footage was taken in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam’s second largest city, in a country in which millions of dogs are cooked for their meat every year – and a place where animal protection laws do not exist and dog meat consumption is still 100 per cent legal.

Bringing justice for the dog in the video will thus be impossible. Vietnam must change the way its animals are treated immediately. They are sentient creatures, that can feel pain just as we humans do. They have a right to live a normal life. The suffering of innocent animals has become unbearable and can no longer be tolerated.

The dogs in Vietnam need our help urgently. We, the undersigned, demand the swift implementation of animal welfare laws that will see a full and unilateral ban on dog meat consumption being enforced.
