Marco the dog has been chained to a tree for the last five years.
His owners dumped him in their backyard and left him here, with little food and
water, in one of the most remote regions in Turkey – known for the its bitter

When rescuers came, Marco was barely alive. This miserable dog was
rushed to a clinic in Istanbul and now, after months of treatment, he is doing

The need for an animal rights reform in Turkey is stringent. Lenient
laws are an open invitation for cruel people to abuse animals, knowing they

cruelty to animals in Turkey – penalties that include mandatory jail time and
steep fines.
Help provide a better place for the animals of Turkey. A law to mark
Marco’s extreme suffering needs to be adopted as soon as possible.
