A Dog’s Purpose is an upcoming movie starring Dennis Quaid that
illustrates the great bond between humans and dogs. However, TMZ has obtained
exclusive imagines on how the movie was filmed. The footage released recently
shows how a terrified German Shepherd is abused on set.
According to the tabloid, the scene containing the abuse was filmed
in November 2015 outside Winnipeg, Canada.
The video shows how a trainer is trying to convince Hercule, a
German Shepherd dog, to plunge into the frothing water. However, the animal is
reluctant and hesitates. The trainer continues to push the dog and shoves the
canine several times. The dog strikes back and tries to claw his way back to
shore. The dog is finally forced into the water, but submerges quickly, which
prompted the crew to stop the filming the scene.
At least 5 German Shepherds were used in the production. There are
no records of the other canines being abused, but one must wonder how they have
been treated.
TMZ also learned that director Lasse Hallstrom witnessed the scene
and that at least one crew member stated tht he was disgusted by the way the
pooch was treated during the filming of the scene.
The Manitoba Chief Veterinary Office has announced it has launched
an animal abuse investigation against the trainer and the crew.
The movie’s premiere has been already cancelled amid numerous
protests from animal rights activists from all over the world. Please support
my petition and take the pledge to boycott this terrible movie! Please do not
go and see it and tell your friends and loved ones to do the same. If you go to
this movie, it means you support this abuse.
Let us hit them where it hearts them the most: in their pockets.
