The vicious and completely unexpected passing of a ginger cat dubbed Leo has sparked outrage on social media. Three men are currently suspected of committing this inhumanity, which took place in a park in Derby, England. We, the undersigned, sincerely hope that all the people involved will be charged with cruelty to animals and will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law under the Animal Welfare Act. Please support this petition and demand the maximum penalty for Leo’s attackers.

The helpless moggy was discovered by a dog walker on a path in Riddings Park. The pet still had a rope attached to his neck. The helpless animal was chocked so badly that his eyes had popped out. The injuries inflicted against the three-year-old cat also include a broken neck, several broken ribs and shattered jaw and a bulging eye.

Exclusive: Punish thugs that cut dog’s ears off and posed for photos!

The perpetrators have been identified on social media as Keane Mitchell Thorpe, Ethan Lewis, Seif Naili and Mitch Smith (pictured in the petition photo). They recorded the entire ordeal with their mobile phones and later posted the content on Snapchat. According to their gestures and comments, they believed their actions were funny.

Leo’s owner, Katie Dowler-Chell, from Derby, has been left heartbroken amid the attack.

‘I had been at work that day. I received a call from an unknown number. It was a woman asking me if I owned a cat named Leo. She was a lady from the RSPCA, who managed to identify my cat through the microchip. She told me that the situation was not good, that Leo was found with a rope wrapped around him. My mind started to go at 1, 000 miles an hour all of a sudden’ Ms. Dowler-Chell recalls.

Please do not let the British judicial system spare any leniency in this case. The monsters behind this cowardly attack must face the full consequences of their actions. Do not let them get away with a suspended jail term or a small fine! Help ensure that justice will be achieved. We owe it to Leo to sign and share this petition widely.
