The time to take action has come. Avon has been testing on animals
for far too long. THESE INHUMANE TESTS NEED TO COME TO AN END.
Whenever you see an Avon product in a store remember this: thousands
of innocent animals die each year in the company’s research laboratories just so
scientists can come up with a ‘revolutionary’ products. Animals are routinely
burned, crippled and poisoned; they have holes drilled in their skulls; they
are forced to inhale toxic substances; they are confined in small caged for
weeks, with no light and ability to socialize. No product is worth any of this!
In countries such as China, testing on animals for all cosmetic products is mandatory. Instead of opting out of the Chinese market and launching a battle against such inhumane regulations, Avon has chosen money over ethics.
Avon has featured celebrities such as Salma Hayek and Reese
Witherspoon in their ads during the course of time. These celebs should have
known better than to support the needless testing on so many innocent animals!
Given the significant scientific progress humanity has achieved in the past decades we, the undersigned,
consider that testing on animals represents an archaic and useless method. Recent progress has
allowed a surge in the fields of reconstructed skin models, molecural modeling
as well as a significant improvement in the field of high-performance data
processing. Basically, all the data researches can be generated in the lab,
without the use of animals in cruel tests.
The manifest of laboratories to fuel innovative products needs to be
carried out without testing on animals.
Please let AVON represantatives that you firmly stand against the
use of animals for testing purposes. We will not buy any AVON product until the
companies goes animal-testing free!
