CHINA: Cats hung and hit with hammers by laughing men! Support animal rights now!

A couple of men can be seen severely mistreating several cats for what seems to be sheer amusement. The video, posted on various social media networks, shows no less than three cats left to hang by their necks in a snowy yard. The terrified moggies are trying to escape, but are powerless.

At one point, one of the men approaches with a hammer and proceeds to pound the cats a few times. He then takes a pause to smile for the camera, before getting back to work again.

The video ends with no indication of what is going on. Most likely, none of the cats survived this terrible experience.

There is no clear reason behind this sick attack other than personal amusement. The men seem to be enjoying themselves, casually smiling at the camera several times.

The shocking footage was taken in the Guanxi province in southern China. This is the place where the infamous Yulin dog meat festival in held each June.

This is yet another perfect example of why China is in desperate need of animal protection laws. Current regulations do not stipulate any penalties for such actions, which means that people who mistreat animals are getting away without any punishment whatsoever. And there have been numerous such cases - I have added a few photos below that illustrate the plight of animals in China.

This situation cannot be tolerated anymore. Please show your support to push for animal welfare laws in China and make sure such monsters are held accountable for causing pain and suffering to our voiceless companions.
