4.474 NEEDED
For over 20 years, Revlon was on PETA’s list of ethical companies
that have chosen not to conduct inhumane animal tests. Everything changed in
2014, when the animal rights group discovered that Revlon betrayed the trust of
millions of customers from all over the world. And no amount of make-up can now
cover up what Revlon did.
Despite the fact that it has claimed to be a cruelty-free brad,
Revlon has been selling produts in China, where mandatory testing on animals
for a vast majority of cosmetic products is required.
Revlon announced its plans to exit China in early 2014, but the
company refused to answer any questions on the subject of animal testing. It
was only in June 2014 when a PETA representative attended Revlon’s annual press
meeting and tried to clear the air about the company’s policy on animal
testing.
When Revlon representatives were asked if the company would indeed
withdraw from China as previously mentioned, the Revlon CEO Lorenzo Delpani
gave a stunning response: Revlon will “exit†China by eliminating all jobs and
closing offices there, but it will still have its products sold in stores. This
means that Revlon had carried out mandatory testing on animals during all this
time.
Other cosmetic companies have chosen not to tarnish their reputation
and have stayed away from the highly-attractive Chinese market. Revlon has
chosen money and fame over morality.
Please take a stand against Revlon right now! How can you help?
Do not buy REVLON products. Let the company know we, the
undersigned, will impose a total boycott until the company keeps its promise to
stop all useless testing on animals. No market share is ever worth the
suffering of those innocent animals.
Make sure all your cosmetic products are cruelty-free. Check PETA’s list of companies that do not test on animals and make sure to support THESE products instead: http://bit.ly/JYQXez
