Vietnam is a country that hopes to improve ecomically and appeal to
as many international tourists as possible in the upcoming years. It is a
beautiful country nonetheless, but it is really too bad it is mostly inhabitated
by savages.
The video that I encourage you to watch is heartbreaking, but shows
the reality of the every day in Vietnam. Dog meat has never been a more popular
dish. In spite of an official ban by the government, it can be found
everywhere, starting from people’s homes to average and pricey restaurants.
Dogs are available 24/7, no matter where you are in Vietnam (the area just
north of Hanoi, the capital city, has grown as a dog meat hub for the entire
country).
Dog snatchers are constantly working to feed the instatiable demand
for dog meat. Pooches are taken off the streets or from people’s houses to be
cooked.
The video shows how a group of lowlives ties up a defenseless dog –
a German Shepherd type canine I believe – only to blatantly mistreat him and
slash him open. As soon as the dog tried to howl, they put a cloth in his mouth
to keep him quiet. They will use the dog’s meat to make a barbecue right in
their own homes.
The ban on dog meat is only theoretical. Even if the attackers are
caught, they receive extremely lenient sentences (sometimes they even get to
walk free). In other words, the industry has never ceased to exist in practice.
On the contrary, it has constantly developed.
Please tell Vietnamese government to do more to protect the dogs in
the country. More resources need to be alloquated into tackling this despicable and ruthless trade and laws need to come into force as soon as possible.
It is with heavy heart that we, the undersigned, must announce that
we will boycott all products made in Vietnam and we will omit the country as a
holiday vacation until the dog meat trade has been completely abolished.
Please voice your support for all the dogs that are cooked every day
for their meat. SIGN AND SHARE TO STOP THE DOG MEAT TRADE IN VIETNAM!
