Help get justice for dog shot in the head!

A shocking showing a man attacking a chained pit bull in a yard went viral on social media.

The man that shot the harmless dog was quickly identified as Almita Dies, living in Guichon, a town located in the western part of Uruguay. Although Dies removed the footage shortly after posting it on his Facebook account, the video was copied by other users and republished. The clip quickly went viral. Thousands of people shared the disturbing images and countless calls for justice were made.

Amid intense pressure, Dies was finally booked and brought in for questioning, but was unexplicably let go by the Uruguay judicial system. Officials have not released any details regarding the investigation and have still not provided an official explanation for why Mr. Dies - a ruthless attacker - was released and all charges dropped.

How can this monster be set free after what he did? The evidence is compelling and a strong case definitely can be built.

It is our strong belief that the decision to release this man is completely unacceptable. He is a danger to society and must be punished accordingly for his sick deeds. Just imagine that his next victim might be a child or an elderly person – as defenseless as that pit bull was. Who will be held accountable if this happens?

Take action now and let officials know we do not agree with their decision to let Almita Dies walk free! The ruling is a serious setback for the animal rights movement in Uruguay, but we will not give up and we will pursue justice for that pit bull at all costs!
