Justice For Kira – puppy used as bait for dog fights!

I found out about Keira’s heartbreaking story through the kind people from Animals Lebanon. This poor puppy was found on the streets of Beirut with maggots eating her small body. In some areas, bones were sticking out of her body. It is unclear what happened to her, but it appears that she has been used as bait to train dogs to fight.

It is extremely hard to describe what this defenseless puppy had to go through. Imagine yourself being attacked by a pack of hungry and vicious dogs, before being tossed away and left to die. It is absolutely heartbreaking to see about such stories.

After a grave and prolonged suffering on the streets, Keira is now in the hands of the best vets in the country, who are doing everything in their power to ensure her speedy recovery.

The pup is doing much better, but is still having difficulties breathing and swallowing. Further tests will be conducted to determine the best course of action in the immediate future.

In the meantime, whoever did this to Keira is still at large, free to harm other animals. These dogs fighters have absolutely no limits and it is likely that other puppies like Keira will be victims in the near future. We therefore ask law enforcement to initiate a crackdown on dog fighting in the city of Beirut! Such vile and despicable activities have no place in today’s society. We sincerely hope our calls for justice will not be ignored and all the dogs of Beirut will be saved from the hands of these evil people!
