Justice For Sugar – puppy dragged behind pick up truck until she died

Here is Sugar’s heartbreaking story. If this dog has touched your heart as much as it has mine, please take action and support this petition to bring justice to her.

This happened in Bowling County, Kentucky. The sad news about what Sugar went through was broken by the Bowling Green / Warren County Humane Society on their Facebook page. It reads as follows:

Exclusive: Punish thugs that cut dog’s ears off and posed for photos!

Sugar is a 7-month old pit bull puppy that was dragged behind a pick-up truck. We are unsure how this happened, but we have filed a report to the police. What happened to Sugar is absolutely disheartening. We cannot even imagine the amout of pain she had to go through. We were actually shocked to learn that she was alive after what she had gone through. A driver witnessed the entire scene and got the perpetrator to pull over. Sugar was immediately rushed to the vet’s office where the entire team has been working round the clock to save her life.

Unfortunately, the latest update indicates that Sugar’s fragile little body could not take it anymore. She sadly died during the night.

I another news update, police officials report that the driver has been identified, but his name has not been made public, since it is still an ongoing investigation. The man responsible claims that he actually had no idea that a dog was tied to the back of his pick-up truck and claims he immediately stopped when he was asked to by other startled witnesses – about one miles afterwards.

An accident or not, Sugar is no longer with us because of her owner’s actions.  The man responsible needs to be held accountable.

What happened in absolutely heartbreaking and no living creature should be forced to endure such type of inhumane treatment.

Please take action now. We, the undersigned, urge local authorities to charge the person responsible as soon as possible and pave the way for true justice for Sugar.
