The photo above was posted on Instagram by a user identified as 'deertybhr'. It shows a callous owner dragging a dog behind a pick-up truck. Later, a 20-second video of this disturbing case emerged online. However, details of this incident are scarce. It is only known that it took place somewhere in Saudi Arabia and the perpetrator was driving in a white Toyota pick-up truck. It is also unknown if the dog survived this terrible incident.
Finding the person responsible could prove an impossible mission at this point. However, I started this petition with the view to tackle the issue from its roots: the lack of true animal protection laws in Saudi Arabia. If tougher laws came into force, it would be a certainty that perpetrators would be discouraged to act this way towards our voiceless friends. This is just one of the recent cases in which we witness a blatant mistreatment of the animals in Saudi Arabia! The abuse of animals in the country is a rampant activity and there is virtually no stopping it!
Please sign the petition and urge the Prince of Saudi Arabia to take
this matter into consideration. Animals are innocent and helpless and deserve all the protection they can get. These creatures are not involved in any political stances and cause no harm
to anyone. They deserve to be treated with the utmost respect, since they offer
nothing but love and loyalty to humans.
If we are to stop such incidents from happening again, animal protection
laws are amust in the country!
