Justice for dog thrown in a ditch to die with terrible injuries!

This heartbreaking images occurred in the city of Iasi, in Romania. This helpless canine was discovered in a ditch, covered up in litter. Passers-by immediately alerted a local animal rescue group. Members of the organization came as soon as possible to the site, situated close to the busy train station.

Volunteers were shocked to see the dog in this terrible conditions. He was clearly in distress, with several open wounds, underweight and barely able to walk. Hadn’t these people recovered him in due time, I am not sure how longer he would have made it.

Vets are currently keep him under strict observation. Although there have been some positive signs, the long to recovery is still a very long and difficult one. Vets have yet to figure out how the dog sustained those injuries.

From what I have been reading thus far, I understand that the city where this happened is located in the eastern part of the country, one of the poorest regions of Romania. In fact, it is more of the poorest areas within the entire European Union. However, money is certainly no excuse. There were plenty of options on how to deal with an unwanted pet dog – none of which implies throwing the helpless creature in a ditch!

Where is the compassion? Where is the humanity?
