A man from Darlington, South Carolina has been booked and charged
after a second dog with face bound duct-taped was discovered within town limits
in just a span of a few days. Aurora, the dog on the right, was discovered last
week wandering around a park. Her face and muzzle were all duct-taped and the
poor animal was scared stiff. She had been viciously dumped by his callous
owner.
Now, a second dog was discovered with his mouth and neck taped shut. Several shocked witnesses noticed the neglected dog and called the Darlington County Sheriff’s Office to turn their neighbor in. Deputies were quick to arrive at the home of the suspect and were initially able to tape off the dog’s mouth, but couldn’t remove the tape from his neck.
The owner has been identified as 38-year old Timothy Monroe Nalley. The man claimed that he only tried to keep the dog from barking and seemed to be at ease about what he had done.
Authorities have charged the man with ill treatment of animals in general and have strong reasons to believe the man is connected to Aurora’s case (the dog on the right), a dog whose face was also bound in duct-tape.
Support this petition and demand the maximum penalty available under current laws against Timothy Monroe Nalley. There is no doubt this heartless person needs to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law, in addition to receiving a ban on owning, having custody, or being in the company of animals in accordance with the relevant legislation.
These severely mistreated dogs deserve justice. Would this man have
taped his child’s mouth to keep him quiet? Most likely not! Then why apply this
inhumane treatment to an innocent dog, the precious companion that should be
man’ best friend? There is absolutely no excuse for this and I sincerely hope
justice will prevail and Timothy Monroe Nalley will not get away with a lenient
sentence.
