For the third consecutive year, the ‘Halloween Cat Punching’ event is up and running on Facebook. In spite of hundreds and hundreds of attempts to shut down this disgusting page, it keeps coming back up, with bolder and even more disturbing images. Those admins never seem to quit and Facebook is directly supporting these cruel individuals, who do not have any ounce of moral fiber in their veins!

According to the event description, family day tickets are now available online. The page also introduces a new admin – Beverly Barclay – and asks the fans to give her a round of applause.

Obviously, this is nothing but an opportunity to troll animal lovers from all over the world. Such pages are believed to be brought up by infamous troll Jaimie Card. He has been getting away with it for years and by not blocking his pages, Facebook only encourages him to keep doing what he does.

I am extremely displeased that Facebook is doing such a lousy job at keeping these trolls away off its site. Throughout the years, Facebook has put great emphasis on customer satisfaction and user experience. Social media is a place to connect with friends and family, it’s supposed to be a relaxing and enticing experience. Such pages send completely the completely opposite message. This is not what social media and Facebook specifically should be about!

While these events are only made up to stir people’s feelings up, it might give bad people ideas on how to hurt animals. It might not be long until cats are harmed for real due to these bogus events. This is why it is essential for Facebook to take this event down and block these sick individuals from receiving the attention they are looking for.
