Jimmy Choo is a Malaysian fashion designer based in England. He is
best known for fouding Jimmy Choo Ltd. which is now widely popular for its
handmade women’s shoes.
While Choo’s carreer is impressive, it is worth noting at some of
his success has been achieved with great suffering from animals. Most of his
collections feature shoes made using FUR. These items (extremely distatesful If
you ask me) are sold in high-end stores all over the world at whopping prices (if
find a pair of shoes under $500 consider it a bargain).
Jimmy Choo imports his fur from China, where there are no animal
protection laws. Animals are born and raised in so-called fur farms, facilities
in which they are forced to live an absolutely miserable life – quite the exact
opposite of the affluent people that usually can afford to buy a pair of Jimmy
Choo footwear.
Those precious little animals – foxes, minks, rabbits, you name it –
spend all day locked in tiny cages, where they barely have room to breathe. All
skinning is done manually, causing tremendous suffering to those animals. Most
of them do not survive the so-called ‘production process’ and end up being
tossed away like a pair of outdated shoes.
For instance, the shoes pictured above are destinated for women that
love the boudoir style. The footwear is part of the company’s legendary Dolly
shoes and, as you can see, are decorated with fur pompons on the toe and ankles,
as well as 10 cm high heels. Absolutely outrageous!
Jimmy Choo needs to drop fur from all upcoming collections. The pain
of all those animals is not worth any fashion item. Use your creativity and
come with up other collection to impress your clients, but leave the animals
out of it!
Please sign and share and ask the designer to stop endoring these
inhumane practices and stop fur shoes!
