Stop cruelty to animals in Bali - the Island of Gods!

The video of a group of teenagers viciously pounding a defensless dog with a metal pipe several times has gone viral on social media.

The footage was posted last year by Facebook user called ‘K’ Rock Rocker’ and sparked outrage around the entire world.

The video was filmed in Bali and the teens did this to the defenseless animal while attending a barbecue and had nothing better to do. The dog tries to escape, but is powerless in front of these repeated and powerful attacks.

In spite of a series of massive protests that sparked online, the attackers will end up getting away with it because Bali does not currently have any animal welfare laws in place, which means there no legal basis on which charges can be filed.

Mahatma Ghandi once stated that the greatness of a nation can be measured by the way it treats its animals. Right now, there is nothing positive to say about Bali!

The country is one of the leading touristic destinations, with spectacular sandy beaches and white azul water.

While the government has been long seeking solution on how to improve quality in the tourism sector, animal welfare has been completely ignored, which is a true shame.

Animals on this beautiful island deserve better than this. We ask officials in Bali to vote in animal welfare laws that will see sanctions enforced against whoever mistreates an animal!

Please show your full support for this very important measure that will confer the much-needed protection to thousands of animals on the island! It is a true shame that these teens with no soul will not earn any punishment as a result of their actions. Help make it the last case in which the attackers get to walk free!
