A family from Kingwood, Texas has been left devastated after their pets were viciously attacked by a man working for CenterPoint Energy, one of the most important energy companies in the United States.
The family has incriminating evidence against the attacker. A man claiming to be a contractor of CenterPoint Energy appeared in the backyard of the Wilcox family. He entered the premises completely unannounced, without even knocking. Mike Wilcox was more than happy to assist the employee with his duties, even asking him if he should secure his two dogs in another area. The worker replied that everything was fine.
As the family retreated inside, the man
grabbed a pipe wrench and started pounding the family dogs repeatedly, without
any reason whatsoever. One of the pooches was hit with such force that its
tooth went flying into the pool.
The dogs were all in terrible shape when the members of the family arrived outside. The worker was quick to walk away, providing no explanation for his cowardly actions.
The family went to their CCTV footage and was nonetheless shocked to see what had happened with their beloved dogs. The dogs’ medical bills surged well over $2, 000.
The owners announced that they have filed a complaint with the energy company.
A statement issued by CenterPoint Energy reads as follows:
We
have determined that a CenterPoint Energy contractor was at this address on
this date. CenterPoint Energy does not condone or tolerate such mistreatment of
animals by our employees or our contractors. We have notified the contract
company and they have assured us that they will conduct a full investigation
into the incident.
As good and promising as the statement sounds, words are not enough! Drastic action needs to be taken against this ruthless employee. He needs to be fired as soon as possible and charges must be filed against him!
