Investigate man that buys puppies and uses them as bait for fights to make a living!

Please support my petition to help put this dog fighter away. We need as many signatures as possible to get the authorities to look into this man’s actions and ensure that a stiff punishment is applied.

The man’s name is Mauro Bodanich and he lives in the municipality of Casilda, Santa Fe province, Argentina. According to several Facebook pages, there is compelling evidence that this cruel man organizes numerous dog fights to make a living. Reports indicate that the man and his associates are looking to purchase puppies to be used as bait for the fights or for training purposes. The fights usually take place in remote locations, but the word has spread and now more and more people are gathering to attend these inhumane events. His business has grown exponentially over the past few months and so are his revenues.

Some of his associates have posted a couple of videos – some sort of a sneak preview of what is going on during these barbaric events. The footage shows how dogs forced to fight each other as spectators laugh and cheer and predict the outcome of the bout. However, the incriminating evidence has been deleted once several animal welfare organizations have alerted people on social media about what Mauro Bodanich is up to. It is unclear if any copies of the videos were made.

Reports show that Bodanich is also illegaly breeding greyhounds (galgos) for profit and his sister was involved in the death of her boyfriend, a police officer, in 2000; however, no official charges have been filed.

Meanwhile, local authorities seem to have been turning a blind eye on this matter. No official investigation has yet to begin, in spite of what seems to be mounting evidence against Bodanich and his crew.

Please support this petition and urge the authorities to take swift action. An immediate investigation needs to be launched and if all accusations presented online turn out to be true, this cruel man and his partners need to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
