Help us get justice for this dog!

Necoclí, Colombia. A man was filmed dragging a dog behind his motorbike for miles; it happened in broad daylight, to the ire of dozens of witnesses.

A driver decided to take action and filmed the scene, later uploading it on social media in order to raise awareness. Witnesses came forward to explain that the dog was still very much alive at the time of the incident; however, the owner claims the dog had passed away a few days later and he was only disposing of the body.

No complaint has been formally filed to the police, but pressured by several newspapers, an official stated the incident will be looked into.

Luis Miguel López, Secretary of Agriculture, Environment and Social Development of the Antioquia department, said that he and his colleagues are working to determine what sanctions need to be imposed against the driver.

This case aside, we will also be looking into ways on how to implement programs to educate people on how to treat animals with respect – secretary López added.

Please take action and demand this biker is prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Dozens of people saw the dog still moving as he was dragged behind the vehicle. This type of behavior should never be allowed to happen and cannot be condoned in the 21st century.
