Social media has been buzzing with the video of a cruel driver
intentionally running over a harmless street dog, before taking off like
nothing had happened.
The shocking footage was posted on the Facebook page belonging to
‘Mundo Patitas’, an animal welfare organization. The incident unfolded in the
Campestre neighborhood, in the municipality of Nezahualcoyotl, in the state of
Mexico. The video is short, but compelling; it shows how a street dog is taking
a walk as a Chevrolet Aveo pulls nearby. The dog is looking to cross the
street, but is somehow distracted by the car, who approaches very closely.
Moments after, the heartless driver pushes the gas pedal and run over the dog,
before speeding off.
Reviewing the video, one can see this was a clearly intentional act,
as there is absolutely no way the driver could not have spotted the pooch. The
cruel person behind the wheel knew that the dog was there, yet opted to run him
over.
Concerned citizens quickly came over to help the dog; the 12-year-old,
severely injured pooch was taken to the hospital, but succumbed to her injuried
and passed away in terrible pain.
With the help of social media, the cruel driver has been identified
as Miguel Morales. Up to this point, he is still at large and there is no
indication if an investigation into this matter has commenced.
Take action now to ensure justice is served. Miguel Morales must be
fully held accountable for his actions. What he did was clearly on purpose and
I would be deeply shocked if this monster would be allowed to roam free on the
streets again. Today it might have been a dog, but tomorrow it could be another
human being, perhaps someone you know!
