This is the story of an up-and-coming artist that has taken the world of art by storm. But what she is doing, in my view, has nothing to do with art.
Meet Iris Schiefers – she has made a name of herself and has become a proeminent figure in Berlin, Germany by organizing art shows where she displays bodies of lifeless animals. Her sick shows include a wide range of animals, including anything from dogs and pigs to lamp-shaped geese.
Now if you asked a child to go to her art shows, that kid would probably burst into tears and tell you this is not art.
What is even more disturbing is the fact that Ms. Schiefers is really passionate about her ‘creativity’ as well. In her twisted mind, she actually thinks she is doing the right thing.
When animals pass away, they expect their bodies to be in rightful places, not put on display in various locations, so curious people can stare at them nonchalantly. The passing of a cherished pet (a dog, for instance) is treated my many as a deep loss and a moment of grief. No one has the right to turn this thing around and glorify this sad moment, calling it art. If humans deserve some respect after their passing, then so do animals.
Any sane person will immediately figure out this cannot be called art.
Ms. Schiefers has not taken the world by storm due to her ingenious and unique form of art – she has surprised everyone unpleasantly, in my opinion, by exhibiting a staggering lack of respect towards animals.
Please take action and let Ms. Schiefers know that we reject her
art shows completely and demand that she stops using animals for her
appalling exhibitions.
