Support full prosecution for thug that beat dog with dumbbell!

A man was booked and charged after putting down his dog using a dumbbell. He is now in custody of the Lowell Police Department, Arkansas.

The suspect’s name is 20-year-old Charles James Dugan. Lowell police was alerted after a witness came forward with information that a neighbor had destroyed his dog and threw his lifeless body in the dumpster later on.

Police went to check out the dumpster. They discovered a pillow that was full of blood, a small carpet and a ball cap. They dug deeper and discovered the canine’s lifeless body tighly wrapped in an orange sheet.

Officers went to Dugan last known address, but learned from neighbors that the man had moved in an apartment compelx in Fayeteville recently. Another witness came forward claiming spoke to Dugan shortly after learning what had happened. The witness claimed to have seen a trail of blood leading from Dugan’s place to the dumpster in question. The witness also stated there was a big stain of blood in the man’s apartment.

When interviewed by police, Dugan admitted to the callous attack. He stated he had used a heavy dumbbell and attacked the dog because he was pissed off. The helpess dog did not stand a chance and passed away in terrible suffering, as he was hit over and over for no good reason. Police learned that the dog had been with Dugan for about nine months and previously belonged to a friend of Dugan’s who had passed away.

The Lowell Animal Shelter is just minutes away from Dugan’s new residence. Rather than taking the dog to the facility and humanely surrender him, the merciless 20-year-old decided to punish him in the most vicious way there is!

Dugan’s bond has yet to be set; his next court date is also due to be announced.

Please do not let this man get away with it! This man is extremely dangerous to society overall and deserves a lengthy prison sentence. We, the undersigned, respectfully the North Carolina judicial system to pursue the maximum penalty available by law, in addition to a ban on owning, having custody, or being in the company of animals in accordance with the relevant legislation.
