Support the maximum penalty for owner who cut dog's ears off with scissors!

A South Carolina mother and her son have been booked and charged in connection to an animal neglect case. The situation got the attention of social media after a heartless owner posted a shocking photo on Facebook with his pet dog in which the pooch’s ears appear to have been cut off. The dog was bleeding and the suspect, identified as 37-year-old Scotty Tyler, bragged about having “shortened” the dog’s ears using a pair of scissors. Facing mounting criticism, Tyler claimed he can do whatever he likes with the pooch simply because he is the owner and said he did this because he had nothing else better to do. He dismissed all criticism and stated the dog was, in fact, under anaesthesia. But who could take this man’s words for granted?

The photo is nothing short of appalling. The dog is in clear pain as he is cowered near a wall, powerless to escape. He is at the mercy of his owner, who doesn’t seem to keen on letting him escape pain-free.

Angry netizens managed to track down the man to Georgetown, South Carolina, and reported him to the Wiliamsburg County Sheriff’s Office. Police paid a visit to the house and confirmed the story was indeed real. According to an update, the dog’s ears were stitched up with fishing line. Neither Tyler nor his mother, Myrtle McGee, had any license whatsoever to practice such types of operations.

The couple was booked and charged and the dog was removed from the premises. The pit bull type dog, dubbed Brick, is now in the good care of Valiant Animal Rescue and is expected to make a full recovery soon. The pooch is in good spirits and will be put up for adoption soon.

This man – Steven Tyler – is extremely dangerous and this case needs to be treated very seriously by the judicial authorities in South Carolina. I am therefore calling on all animal lovers to take a stand against what this man has done and demand that the maximum penalty is applied in this case, in addition to a permanent ban on owning pets from now on. This man has proved that he does not love animals and it would be a real disaster if he was permitted to keep pets again – he has proven what he is capable of and who knows what he might to next. Do not let this heartless man and his ignorant mother off the hook!
