Chocolate’s story took the entire world by stormed. This sweet
little puppy has touched the hearts of millios of animals. This gentle creature
was skinned alive and left to die on the streets of San Francisco, Argentina on
January 2nd.
The authorities have been able to identifiy the person responsible
for this inhumane attack: a 36-year-old, known as Agustina; his
real name is Germán Gómez MatÃas and works as a hairdresser in the southern part
of the city. The attacker had been previously detained by the police.
Gómez allegedly confessed to his actions shortly after beind
detained. Chocolate lives in an abandoned apartment alongside three brothers; a
compassionate person fed and petted them regularly until they would find a new
home. But Gómez was extremely irrated by the puppy’s constant barking and
sobbing and decided to teach the pooch a lesson. According to the authorities,
the perpetrator jumped a wall in the apartment he lived in order to enter the
abandoned house next door, where Chocolate lived. What happened next can be
seen in the photo above.
Upon being discovered, Chocolate was rushed to a veterinary clinic
in criticial condition. Despite having receiving the best medical care
possible, the puppy died a few days later. His fragile body was simply unable
to withstand so much pain.
According to the local prosecutor, two raids had been conducted: one
at the apartment belonging to the perpetrator (where Chocolate would appear)
and one at the suspect’s mother. Inside, police discovered a large knife
(probably used to attack the puppy), psychiatric pills and a lawn mower, used
to cover the criers of the puppy as he was being skinned alive.
Unfortunately, animal welfare laws in Argentina are archaic and
extremely permissive. The suspect is facing a jail term anywhere between 15
days and one year (although the maximum penalty has never been actually imposed
before). Please do not be silent about Chocolate! He suffered so much and
deserves full justice.
Support my petition and demand the maximum penalty available by law
against Germán Gómez MatÃas!
